Duties

• Conduct depositions and provide defense strategies.
• Research legal, medical, and scientific issues to support case strategies.
• Draft legal documents, including memoranda, motions, pleadings, and discovery materials.
• Prepare detailed client reports such as case evaluations and deposition summaries.
• Collaborate with and prepare expert witnesses.
• Plan and participate in trials, mediations, and alternative dispute resolution (ADR) proceedings.
• Represent clients in court, including oral arguments and discovery conferences.

Requirements

• Experience: 6-10 years in deposition and courtroom practice, with a focus on general/premises liability or product liability cases.
• Knowledge: Familiarity with New York court systems and practices.
• Work Ethic: Demonstrated ability to manage competing deadlines, function independently, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Education

• Juris Doctor degree from an ABA-accredited law school.

Certifications

• Licensed to practice in New York; New Jersey licensure is advantageous.
