Job Description
The successful candidate will work cooperatively with the Humana Pharmacy Solutions leadership, Business Improvement Teams (Pharmacy Technology, WFM, Quality, Testing & Support) and other aligned partners, both locally and across the Company. The Lead defines improvement projects aligned with business strategies and Humana Pharmacy Solutions priorities. He or she will lead, facilitate and coach a team of process improvement professionals.
The Lead will drive Process Improvement, Quality & Compliance Improvement, Member Experience Improvement & Cost-Reduction throughout HCPR and PBM Operations.
In addition, the candidate will provide leadership and mentorship to other process improvement practitioners and business associates both within Business Improvement as well as supporting business partners looking to develop a Continuous Improvement culture throughout the organization.
Key Responsibilities
Serve as Change Agent by partnering with Humana Pharmacy Solutions Leaders to define and to implement strategies to drive out Waste and Process Variation
Drive cost per, quality & outcomes measures and improvement roadmaps helping drive cost reduction balanced with quality improvements
Be a champion of the process of implementing Lean Systems in order to deliver significant Process Improvement, Experience and efficiency for products and processes;
Partner with operations leadership to identify & achieve the assigned Cost Reduction Targets, with regular updates to Senior Management and by using specific reporting tools. This involves working with Finance / Clinical Technology to validate all benefits.
Contributes to the identification of projects that meet strategic objectives.
Develops projects through the Lean, DMAIC or Kaizen methodology (whichever best benefits the business), while considering potential project risks.
Monitors monthly Process Excellence performance metrics to ensure that organization objectives in the areas of cost, efficiency, and quality are met.
Displays continuously the characteristics of a change leader in the organization.
Facilitates meetings with management to review and examine project progress.
Foster Continuous Improvement culture throughout the organization, by mentoring and assisting other LSS practitioners, and by sharing Best Practices
Provide oversight for Green Belt, Cost Savings & Quality Forum projects and conduct timely progress communications to all stakeholders
Integrate LSS Best Practices in everyday business practices in order to provide additional value to the Business
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree or 7 or more years of equivalent experience in process improvement
Proved implementation of improvement projects
Demonstrated experience of process improvement methodologies and tools
Proven Change Agent, with demonstrated abilities and successes in influencing and in motivating at all levels of the organization
Expertise and experience in Project Management, Problem Solving and Team Development
Strong communication (presentation, verbal, written) skills-set
Strong analytical skills
High level of proficiency with all Microsoft (Excel, Visio, PP)
Proactive and high level of accountability / ownership
Preferred Qualifications
Green Belt, Black Belt or Lean Certification
Strong with data analysis and telling story to business customers with data
