This is a responsible, non-supervisory position requiring familiarity with various government programs, such as performing mortgage assistance services support work; Work involves providing information to clients and/or assisting staff in the delivery of social services; Works under moderate supervision, with limited latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment; Will work with families in AACOG’s rural counties and provide mortgage assistance to help stabilize low- and moderate-income homeowners impacted by coronavirus pandemic through the provision of up to six (6) months of mortgage assistance; Screens, assesses, and conducts intakes for prospective participants; Assumes responsibility for understanding the TEMAP program guidelines and ensures compliance with agency, Federal, State and local laws and regulations and funding source requirements, such as Community Development Block Grant CARES Act (CDBG CV) funds. Maintain regular contact with clients being screened or enrolled; Work with program management and billing technician to process mortgage payments on behalf of the eligible household; Ensure that participants who appear eligible expeditiously complete the program application process which includes income eligibility; Document all case notes, links to services, maintains accurate, confidential, professional and up-to-date documentation (electronic and hard copy) of all client services for all clients enrolled in the program; Meet quantitative expectations established by the program goals; Attend and participate in scheduled staff meetings, case conferencing, and client reviews with the program team; Actively participate in community meetings and consortiums relative to the TEMAP program, collaborating effectively with coordinating service delivery; Work collaboratively, effectively and professionally with partner agencies, representing AACOG and partner agencies in a professional and dignified manner; Maintain up-to-date knowledge base of community resources, ensuring effective and appropriate linkages; Perform other job related duties as assigned.
Desired Education/Job Experience:
High School Graduate Required. Associate Degree Preferred; Or any equivalent combination of experience and any training which provides the knowledge, skill, and abilities.
Other Qualifications: Understanding of
non-profit
programs for low-and moderate-income families; Knowledge of community and government service delivery systems; Knowledge of case management systems; Ability to communicate effectively, verbal and written; Computer literate, skilled with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; Bilingual skills (English/Spanish) a plus; A valid state issued driver’s license and access to reliable and insured transportation are required. This position is a Pay Grade 9, with a starting hourly rate of $17.35. This is a non-exempt position. Open until Filled. Only electronic online applications will be accepted.
