Job Details:

This position is responsible for properly grading product according to the customer's specifications while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures.

To grade out #1 product, ends & pieces and Covered Wagon ensuring product meets customer specifications including lean and slice count requirements and is handled appropriately. Maintain yields and correctly grade product according to customer and company specifications; knowledge of customer specifications for product being sliced. Ensure proper bellies are being sliced and proper supplies are being used such as boxes, labels, film. Communicate to Lead or Supervisor of any problems with equipment, supplies or product. Work other positions on the line when necessary or grade on other lines. Position rotates at 30 minute intervals; every other rotation is grading product. Other rotation is line production work.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Perform any other work as assigned by supervisor

Perform general housekeeping duties in the department

Comply with all safety, food safety, GMP and SQF Requirements

Perform all positions of rotation, if applicable

Handle raw or smoked bacon

REQUIREMENTS:

Must be willing to work overtime and/or weekends as needed with occasional Sundays.

Standing, walking, bending, squatting, stretching, climbing, pushing, pulling and reaching are required in all areas.

Must be able to reach high and low levels, frequently.

Ability to flex/grip with wrist/hands repetitively.

Must be able to push/pull/lift 40 lbs. or more if required.

Must be able to stand 8-10 hours on hard floors.

Must be able to work in a cold, damp or hot and humid environment that may have slippery walking surfaces.
