Job Description:
The Deepwater EDM Systems Focal will interface with the engineering and operations teams and management in matters regarding the operational impact on EDM and will supervise day to day work of support staff involved in EDM data management.
The Deepwater EDM Systems Focal will be accountable for:
Super User knowledge of the full EDM application suite including but not limited to-
OpenWells
Data Analyzer
How the above interact and integrate with:
Cost Tracking Tool (CTT)
SAP
Communicate with team Members and Customers
Engage to understand the needs of the Deepwater community and translate those needs into appropriate actions
Support DW EDM Systems and Support Lead Focal to scope out technical requirements related to systems enhancements or upgrades based on customers’ needs
Support Lead Focal to develop and execute training schedule for all parties accountable for EDM systems related data per the Operations Reporting Manual
Assist with Data Quality by reporting any inconsistency in EDM
Provide hands on training, both face to face and virtual, to Staff and Contractors interacting with EDM
Manage Day to Day work of the Wells Operations Technologists supporting the GoM Drill ships and Intervention Vessels in addressing daily data quality shortcomings.
Provide Coaching and learning opportunities to engineering and operations related to data input and quality requirements associated with all reports within EDM Openwells.
EDM Project setup and verification
Carry out timely creation and maintenance of all required fields in the Company, Projects, Site, Well, Wellbore, Event, Well Planning Report, and Cost Estimate Report to align with Shell standards and the Operations Reporting Manual in preparation of commencement of new operations for all Drill ship and Subsea Intervention vessels in the Gulf of Mexico including-
Ability and specific knowledge to set up all event types utilized in DW Well Operations
Manage as many as 8 concurrent operations
Assist in testing new EDM version releases and upgrades
Use EDM Administrator Utility Tool to configure user accounts, user groups, security levels and tight group access. Be aware of proper settings for new accounts.
Manage correct input of API, UWI, regulatory and Shell specific cost numbers
Training
Able to co-create a variety of learning approaches, from 5-minute video tutorials, to 1 day onboarding of new staff to full in-depth week-long sessions
Ability to develop, direct and conduct classes in multiple locations

Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Business Management or Information systems or equivalent
Minimum of 5 years Deepwater Wells experience
Experienced managing EDM Open wells set up and ORM compliance for Offshore Well Operations
