A background in employment law, both litigation, and counseling is preferred. Experience working with education clients is helpful. The ability to manage multiple client needs. Must have 2-6 years of experience in the area of employment and education law, including conducting or advising on investigations. Must be licensed or have the ability to become licensed to practice law in the state in which they will work. Knowledge of relevant federal, state, and local laws, ordinances, codes, rules, regulations, court decisions, and legal interpretations related to employment and students in higher educational institutions.
