Graduate Fellowship Program
The Fellowship Program places new associates from law firms at public interest law agencies in Illinois, where they are typically paid by their hiring firm to work for 300 hours between graduation and joining the firm. The Fellow will work on a wide and diverse range of issues depending on the agency where they serve. Will also work on transactional matters such as policy development and analysis, advocacy, impact litigation and more. Will work with the Fair Housing Clinic. Fellows will work under the supervision of the Clinical Professors and the legal staff. Should have the opportunity to work on a wide range of fair housing, fair lending, insurance redlining, and other kinds of housing discrimination cases. Will interview clients and counsel clients, participate in designing and supervising investigations, conduct tests, conduct audits, draf pleadings and motions, engage in discovery, settlement negotiations, and court proceedings, before trials and appellate courts, in different jurisdictions.
