Job Description:
The Offshore General Planner is responsible for planning routine corrective and preventative maintenance, as well as minor modification activities while accounting for HSSE factors, reliability, and cost in support of a production asset in the Gulf of Mexico.
This specific role is in support of the Vito FPS, which is currently in the project phase. Duties and responsibilities will be catered to the current phase with a heavy focus on initial setup and build of maintenance systems in preparation for handover of the asset to operations and startup.
Where You Fit In
As an offshore General Planner, you will play a significant role in the successful delivery of Maintenance Execution. This role will now be on the frontlines (14/14 rotational work schedule) of Maintenance Execution and will be responsible for the following:
Coaching maintenance planning team members and other offshore colleagues on the Maintenance Execution Process.
Walking down corrective and preventative maintenance work orders
Delivering first time quality work packs to the field
Identifying and coordinating 3rd party resource needs
What’s the role -
Perform work prep activities for work orders in the General Planner queue including but not limited to:
Providing detailed procedural job steps
Identifying and coordinating 3rd party and/or construction needs for orders with support activity requirements
Identifying and requisitioning required materials/services to facilitate repairs at the asset
Rough cut scheduling and level loading the schedule
Bundling work on equipment
Identifying production and/or POB impacts
Adhering to budget limits, seek platform leadership/finance approval as needed
Adjusting start date based upon needs of the asset/constraints
Complying with and adhere to all AMS-Maintenance Execution process requirements
Consulting Technical Engineering Support for procedure or work planning guidance and seeking concurrence as needed
Responsible for the creation, modification, and utilization of corrective maintenance task lists
Request and respond to eME Feedback.
Skills & Requirements
What we need from you –
Must have legal authorization to work in the US on a full-time basis for anyone other than current employer.
Minimum five (5) years of craft experience required, 2 years in an offshore oil & gas production environment preferred
Must be able to demonstrate an expert level of knowledge in maintenance planning and rough-cut scheduling, Shell maintenance planning experience preferred
Experience with and knowledge of operating and maintaining platforms in the Gulf of Mexico is a significant plus
Knowledge of maintenance scheduling and estimating principles/techniques
Understanding of resource planning and resource allocation techniques
Demonstrated commitment to safe work practices
Must hold or be able to obtain HUET certification for offshore travel
