Finance Legal Billing Coordinator
The candidate will review narrative and approved monetary edits made in the prebill system for accuracy and compliance with client and firm guidelines. Review and verify that disbursement charges adhere to client and firm guidelines. Retrieve, compile and annotate backup invoices for billed disbursements according to client guidelines. Respond to inquiries from timekeepers about client billing procedures. Your duties will involve communicating with billing attorneys, secretaries, and other personnel. Review New Business Intake forms to ensure all new matters are set up according to the client’s billing arrangement. Establish a consistent and open line of communication with the billing attorneys regarding their billing portfolio relevant to existing policies and protocols. Update and maintain client billing status in the Expert Collections module. Attend monthly inventory meetings to report on the current status of our unbilled inventory. Special projects and duties, as required. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience required. 0 - 2 years of related work experience in a professional services environment, including a dedicated and enthusiastic approach to customer service and collaboration required. Knowledge of basic accounting principles preferred. Proficiency in a Windows environment, with knowledge of Excel and Word required. Excellent verbal and written communication and problem-solving skills required. Ability to collaborate with a diverse population requesting a variety of tasks and assignments required.
